Within the past few years, Junior High test scores have remained stagnant or have slightly dropped.  By gaining this grant, we will be able to assist Junior High Language Arts and content area teachers in creating instructional units that engage students and build comprehension, writing, and communication skills. The LDC framework supports the Defined STEM initiative already in place at the Junior High level. By participating in this grant, teachers will be able to prepare students for the ninth grade Academy concept.
